Was für ein grossartiges Grillfest! Rund 85 Freunde, Bekannte, Familienangehörige, Sponsoren und die Presse waren zu unserem Infoanlass am letzten Sonntag eingeladen. Ziel war es, unser humanitäres, karitatives Projekt bei einem gemütlichen Grillfest umfänglich vorzustellen. Man konnte sich verpflegen und durch die Oase – unsere Werkstatt – führen lassen.
Wie kamen wir zu dieser Idee?
Vor drei Wochen kam das Gefühl auf, dass es schwierig ist, unsere Rallye nur mit Worten unseren Freunden und Bekannten zu erklären. Was macht ihr da jetzt genau? Was ist die Oase? Was macht ihr mit den Autos? Wo fährt ihr durch? Um all diese Fragen zu beantworten und dies zusätzlich in 10-facher Ausführung – das braucht Zeit. Viel einfacher ist es, die Leute zusammen zu bringen und gemeinsam zu informieren. Und da kam uns die spontane Idee: Ein Grillfest um unser Projekt vorzustellen und die Personen durch unsere Oase zu führen. Gesagt getan. Andi hat kurzum eine Sitzung einberufen, kurz ab ging alles Schlag auf Schlag.
Vorbereitung und Verantwortlichkeiten
Yanik setzte sich hinter den Computer und kreierte einen Flyer und machte sich bereits Gedanken über das Salat- und Kuchenbuffet. Philipp überlegte sich das Konzept für den Innenausbau unserer Oase. Die Getränkebestellung hat Joél in die Hand genommen. Lukas war für den Grill zuständig und organisierte unsere JGO T-Shirts. Für die Kaffeemaschine und die Spendenbox war Roger zuständig. Andi war verantwortlich für die Festbänke, die Beamerpräsentation sowie die allgemeine Koordination. Zudem musste unsere Oase noch auf Vordermann gebracht werden. Die WC’s brauchten einen Wasseranschluss sowie eine geeignete Lichtinstallation. Holzboden und Kartentisch mussten geflickt werden, und so weiter.
Das Grillfest
Pünktlich um 13.00 Uhr waren wir bereit, unsere Gäste in unserer Oase zu begrüssen. Unser Parkchef Philipp stellte sicher, dass die ankommenden Gäste gelassen aus ihrem Auto in den Apéro übergehen konnten.
Um 13.45 Uhr nach dem Apéro hat Andi die Gäste in einer Eröffnungsrede begrüsst und zugleich das JGO Team vorgestellt. Anschliessend wurde das gigantische Salat Buffet eröffnet. Yanik und Lukas schauten für die Würste, Joél verköstigte die Gäste mit den Getränken. Im 50 Minuten Takt führte Roger eine Gruppe durch die Oase und klärte alle auftauchenden Fragen. Als Abschluss der Führung konnte man sich zurücklehnen und das Video der Rallye 2016 geniessen. Um 14.45 Uhr öffnete das vielfältige Dessert-Buffet und lud zu Kaffee und Weilen im Garten ein.
Kurzum, das Fest war ein riesiger Erfolg. Unser Ziel wurde bei Weitem übertroffen. Dies alles wäre aber natürlich nie möglich gewesen, hätten im Hintergrund nicht noch viele andere Hände mitgewirkt.

It is nice to see how a simple grill event became a good way to explain the whole project to people. Sometimes meeting face to face works much better than only sharing information online. I liked the part about everyone taking different responsibilities, because these kind of events need a lot of teamwork behind the scenes.
